Mr. UU and DaDadoh – Again and Again

This is a really cool track produced by Mr. UU featuring DaDadoh. This East Valley duo recently came together to collab after performing so many shows together. The track has a mesmerizing synth lead paired with clever word play and hat nods towards 80’s high school proms. This beat has been one of my favorite Mr. UU beats. Most certainly check this song and these guys out.

Com Truise In Decay Review

Com Truise has got to be one of the most clever chill wave musicians in my opinion. The way he chops samples and loops is very reminiscent of the late J-Dilla. Often times I am left wondering why does Com Truise sample the songs he does like when he flipped the ending credits to Hideo Kojima’s Snatcher video game. This album has strong kick drums with rather trippy synth leads. Keeping the 80’s theme, this album has this dreamy 1980’s decoration. I enjoyed the album from beginning to end. This album is easy to get lost in. Alot of the songs start out rather boring but engage the listener quickly. This is a great album to load some bowls and play video games too. I’m guessing the title name may have something to due with music theory. This a great album. Full of random Com Truise sandwiches. You can download it here.

Cool DJ Sets: SAT PM Cartoons Late Night Hip-Hop Mix

This is a DJ set I put together under the influence of mushrooms and cannibus about a year ago. It’s a mix of alternative hip-hop, wave and instrumentals. There’s also alot of samples from different anime and cartoon shows to give it a real adult swim feel. Peep it

Washed Out Tour CD-R

Where did I miss this? Apparently this untitled EP was a give away during Ernest Greene’s 2010 tour. This album has a sound similar to High Times. This EP is really lo-fi. Its Chill. I think this EP does Washed Out justice more than his studio album Within and Without. All the songs are untitled and follow this really loose wet theme. As if you’re being submerged underwater then thrown out to dry on a beach. Some songs have a really Turkish surf sound to them. Washed Out is having fun here, tapping into his lofi chillwave roots. Washed Out does a really good job with the surf theme for this EP. This album is worth checking out. You can download it here.
